Anthony Elding scored his first goal in front of the Cheadle End as County ran out 1-0 winners against Walsall tonight.

County were in charge all the way through the game, and when a Tes Bramble fizzing cross was met by Anthony Elding the roof was taken off the Cheadle End.

It was a fantastic night, an amazing atmosphere and a great performance.

There will be a full report when I recover tomorrow morning!

COME ON COUNTY!

  • Great win again. At home we can’t be beaten! Great game that Bramble had didn’t he? Oh, no, he didn’t, because he didn’t score! 😉 County’s Going up, going up……….. Great attendance last night, but well done to Jimbo, Pete and the players, if I could pick my MOTM it would be the whole team, especially TES!!!!!!!

  • Agree Bramble played a blinder. Some lovely through balls. Edling ran his socks off. Griff looked lively again. The back four are made of granite. Dicko came on and looked sharper than I have seen him – one fantasic touch and pass to see Elding off and running.
Thought Blizzard is getting into the swing of things now.
Evert match is massive now. We must have a realisitic shout of coming away with all three points at Bristol Rovers.

  • NaNaNaNaNaNaNaNaNaNa County’s going up, going up, County’s going u-up. Fantastic second half performance, my MOTM was Blizzard, didn’t do anything spectacular but won every tackle, every pass and got to every 50-50 ball first, didn’t think Elding was at his best though he scored a great goal (I think it was the 1001st goal in league two this season). Bring on Bristol Rovers

  • Bramble has a great game. Dicko looked better than of late. He had one blinding moment of workd class control and a flick on the half way line. Have to say just as the ref blew for full time Dicko has steamed into the Walsall 5 and was about to fly into his face. Lucky the whistle went then or we would have seen another 10 minute and one booking performance!
