Johnny Mullins is fighting to be fit for tonight’s trip to Bristol Rovers along with Danny Swailes, after the pair were praised by boss Gary Ablett.

Swailes, a free signing from MK Dons in the transfer window, has been likened by some as the closest thing in years we’ve had to Mike Flynn at the heart of the County defence, and Ablett was quick to heap praise on the solid centre-back, along with skipper Johnny Mullins.

Both were described as ‘an integral part’ of what Ablett and his staff are trying to achieve with the Hatters, and both are doubts for tonight’s trip to the Memorial Stadium in a must-win for us…as are the remainder of our fixtures really.

‘We’ll do our utmost to get Johnny and Danny fit to play.’

‘He’s an integral part of what we are trying to do here and he’s our captain as well, while Danny’s done superbly for us since joining up with the lads. They love it here and the fans certainly respond to their effort and desire.’
