Carl Baker has signed for Coventry City today on a two and a half year deal after passing a medical with the Ricoh Arena club.

Coventry boss Chris Coleman has been chasing Baker, whose struck 12 goals this season for the Hatters, for a while and finally got his man this morning when Baker agreed terms with the club and passed a medical.

An option for another 12 months to extend the contract is available to Baker.

No idea as to what the fee is yet, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up for any big money…

Thanks to Carl for his efforts this season.

rats and a sinkiong ship, really spring to mind, instead of staying and fighting this uphill battle.

I don’t think the ground staff could have done more, i think it is likely that the surrounding area of the ground have been considered unsafe by the police and local authority and that is out of control of the football club.Thats why the game is off.

I hazard a guess that Baker had no choice. We HAD to sell assets to raise funds and he was the MAIN asset. However, Baker heard in December that the club had agreed to sell him, so handed in an official transfer request…thus waiving any bonuses or clauses he should have been paid when he was sold in January. Top man.
