County have been boosted by the return of on-loan youngster Nicholas Bignall to the squad for Saturday’s trip to Brentford.

The 19 year-old’s impressed since his move from Reading, scoring twice and putting himself about as a lone striker for the Hatters. Peter Thompson was drafted back into the starting eleven in Bignall’s absence due to a hamstring strain, and though the Northern Irish striker puts in all the effort, it just doesn’t work with him up there.

Bignall returned to training on Wednesday and will probably start on Saturday as Gary Ablett takes his young side down to Griffin Park.

Ablett’s confident of picking up three points, though he knows that County are a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde side at Edgeley Park and then playing away, saying he’s ‘never sure which Stockport team will turn up.’

Speaking to County’s official site, the ex-Liverpool reserve team boss said: ‘Our last away game we got a really good three points at Tranmere and a decent performance too. But as I’ve said to the players our only consistency at the moment is our inconsistency as you don’t know which Stockport team is going to turn up from one game to the next.’

‘Brentford are a good side, one of the better footballing sides in the division, so it’s going to be a tough game but I’ve told the players to go there and be positive.’

Come on County!

Ive got alot of respect and patience for pistol pete and am the first to back him if anyone bad mouths his name but, as above states, its not working goal wise for the poor lad.He works non stop everytime he steps on the pitch and looks lively when used as a sub but goals make for confidence and pete is in dire need of a good run of goals.Saying that i recall a certain liam dickinson going through a major dry spell a few seasons back,so i keep all things crossed pete can overcome this situation. Defo got a good feeling for the upcoming game though,3 points for the county!!! come on lads lets step up to the plate and climb the table!!! Oh , and i here november is the time to listen out for the admin news??? Pah!! believe it when i hear it! I O County
