Leeds United have had a second bid accepted for Stockport County striker Anthony Elding.

Hartlepool United, Crewe and Gillingham were all following the 15 goal man in the past couple of weeks.

However Leeds United have come in at the last and have had a last day bid accepted.

County signed Elding from Boston last season for £55,000, since last January he has scored 26 goals for County.

    Whats he like.

Saddened by this. We may never know if the relationship with the gaffer was working but we are losing a 20 goal a season striker and that has to be damaging. Whether you question his commitment and attitude he could have fired us into the play-offs. If we get a replacement can the same be said? Or can AP and Dicko score enough. Goals from midfield are what we require.

Tiny T, in answer to your question, AE is a strong forward with some pace. He can score goals from 6 yards and from outside the box. Most importantly he has the knack of scoring. Question marks over his loyalty and confidence if things go pear-shaped. All in my most considered and not so humble opinion!

He’s been great for us, hope we can get a replacement as I don’t think Proudlock will be consistent enough for us and I don’t know is a McNeil Dickinson partnership would work

Tom totally agree. Proudy blows hot and cold and is he up to playing another 20 games without breaking down? Dicko and McNeill – cant see that working. Goals from midfield…er….. umm… hope our push up the table does not falter now. Bit concerned TBH.
