County have signed Southampton defender Jack Saville on an initial one-month loan deal, and extended midfielder Anthony Pulis’ deal at Edgeley Park for another month.

Saville, formerly of Chelsea, is a 6’3 centre-back who joined Southampton, and fellow Saint Pulis, last summer from Stamford Bridge.

COWS tells us that Saville, 18, made over 25 appearances for Chelsea’s reserve team – alongside former Hatter Liam Bridcutt – before moving to St. Mary’s where ha hasn’t yet made a senior appearance, but is a ‘regular’ in the Under-21 side.

Saville and Pulis can both play in Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Peterborough, and both are here until December for now.

So… Mani + saville CB pairing… or will Mani be ‘rested’. Either way Posh will probably have too much for us. Concentrate on the league zzzzzzzzzz

I think that Mani needs a rest. I don’t think that he is up to the job, it seems that the defence has gone to pieces since Danny was injured. I would like to see him paired up with Rose. They can’t be any worse than what has been happening over the last 2 games. And yes Cropped lets concentrate on the league, because after this weekend that is all we will have to look forward to. Another dismal season. I am just thinking bring Ablett back!!!! No Only Kidding.

Another dismal season indeed. Our fans , partcicularly the brilliant away support deserve so much better. I’m not dreaming of back to the Championship, more a season with a cup run or a flirt with the play-offs. A season where we as fans feel PART OF our club, instead of being vaguely chastised for not enough of us turning up and taken for granted.

I’m hoping for change soon else it will be the scrabble for tickets for the away game in Altrincham next year.
