As exclusively reported on Vital Stockport on the 13th June (Click Here To Read), Stockport County have signed goalkeeper Chris Adamson from Sheffield Wednesday on a one-year contract.

Adamson is 28 years old, and is looking for a number one slot at a team after ten years of playing second fiddle at many clubs.

Speaking to Stockport County Offical Site he said: ‘I was fortunate enough to make my Football League debut here.

‘So this ground will always hold special memories for me.

‘I made my actual debut for West Brom here so this place will always be etched in my memory for the rest of my life. I’ve even got the video of the game!

‘I’ve always known about Stockport and it’s been a spooky turn of events.’

County are still in the hunt for another goalkeeper, with Adamson now the only professional keeper at the club.
