Macclesfield Town have invited fans from every team that Keith Alexander played for or managed to turn up for the derby against Bury on Saturday.

Lincoln, County, Notts County, Boston Utd, a number of non-league clubs and Mansfield Town fans have all been invited to attend Moss Rose on Saturday – as well as Bury fans obviously – for Macc’s first home game since the sad passing away of Alexander, just 53 years young.

Obviously County are at home on Saturday, but if any County fans can get there it would be brilliant – and let’s hope a lot of people from the clubs mentioned above can turn up.

The Silkmen’s vice-chairman Andy Scott said:

‘It is very fitting that we should be playing a club with links to Keith Alexander.’

‘And whilst Bury supporters will obviously be well represented on the day, we are also inviting supporters of every club which Keith either played for or managed to the Moss Rose this weekend.’

‘Keith was a real football man and we can’t think of a better tribute than to see fans sporting their colours on the terraces remembering his achievements with their clubs.’

RIP Keith.
