County have agreed a pre-season friendly with Bolton Wanderers, to be played at Edgeley Park on August 2nd.

The match, to be kicked off at 7.45pm on the Tuesday night, will be The Hatters’ first pre-season friendly at Edgeley Park in two years…and will be manager Didi Hamann’s first match at EP as boss.

County also confirmed that Owen Coyle will be sending a ‘strong team’ to face off against Hamann’s rebuilt side.

Prices are £10 adults and £5 concessions, with under-7’s going free.

Kick-off, as above, is 7.45pm on Tuesday 2nd of August.

* County have also confirmed that coach Peter Ward has departed the club. An absolute legend, and his presence will be missed around the place. Good luck to Wardy wherever he goes from here.

Shame Peter Ward has left but the club didn’t exactly treat him the best since he returned. And with this I doubt Ray Mathias will be coming back as Didi’s right-hand man.

A great friendly. If you can put aside the worry about where the money is coming from, and what our new investors want… then things are looking much, much better.

What about Pistol Pete and Conlon up front as a dual strikeforce??……ONLY JOKING……….yes things seem to be looking better for us, wouldn’t it be fantastic if Didi Hamman gets us back to league football and turns out to be one of the greatest managers ever and he began his managerial career with SCFC !!!!

  • cropped says:

If Hamman gets us out of the Conference at his first attempt (think it is unlikely though) he would move to another club I reckon. Cannot wait for the season to start though if I am being picky, I prefer us not to be playing in stripes. If that is all I can whinge about then times they are a-changin’ !

Shame to see Ray go if indeed he has gone, I liked his passion and we did improve when he was boss even though we still had the same dross personnel to pick from, good luck Ray

  • footballtaz1 says:

  • kid charlemagne says:

Isn’t vicman from up Ross County’s way? Vicman… are you out there? What’s the score with McStay? On the subject of Forest Green away, there must be coaches. The Finger Post will be running one for sure.
