County knocked out of FA Trophy

The downward spiral continued tonight as a feeble County fell to a Southport side that has truly had one over on their North Western counterparts in the last two seasons.

County have not beat Southport and now played them seven times over the last two seasons.

And it was no different tonight – drawing 1-1 at half time County left back Sean Newton was sent off for a poor tackle early in the second half.

From there County could do little about the end result, falling 2-1 and 3-1 down to Ian Ormson mistakes and in the process being knocked out of the FA Trophy.

Is there an end to this recent miserable form?

Its Gateshead away – followed by Hyde on Boxing Day, that could be interesting!

Disappointed – a little. Concerned – a little. I predict though we will hammer Hyde on Boxing day. Or was that I get hammered on Boxing day. Winter wamers in the Crown beforehand anyone? Seriously I hope this young team doesn’t go into it’s shell now. Up to Jim to keep morale high and get that ‘middle 8’ slot he has talked about.

Jim needs to get his act together it’s his team his players so get on with it Jim and stop crucifying players in public and stop shutting them out because they don’t agree with you. It is good to have an opposite view in the dressing room to get a different perspective. Let players express themselves.
