Stockport County have signed Richard O’Donnell on loan from Chesterfield for one month.
The 6ft 2 goalkeeper, aged 24, last played for Chestefield in the league in November in their 3-2 defeat to Bristol Rovers.
O’Donnell is expected to go straight into the team for tomorrow night’s clash with Chesterfield’s rivals Mansfield.
O’Donnell has previously had loan spells at Macclesfield, Grimsby, Oldham, Rotherham and York and is yet to find a proper home.
He was released by Sheffield Wednesday in the summer and was signed by Chesterfield but didn’t make the number one shirt his own despite chances to do so.

Last sentence sounds a bit iffy
Yep vicman…. he doesn’t sound like a John Ruddy does he !!!!!
It will take the pressure off the shell shocked Ormson for a bit. I think Ormson has potential but hes far too young to be playing every game. the result of which is that he has directly cost us at least 6 points this season.
Aye. Give Ormson a break. I am hoping he will come good again.
Nice rest for Ormson get him out of the line of fire for a while. I now think some of these kids may start playing again now Jim has gone.
