County Update

Firstly, an apology. I’ve been working with no Internet connection for the past week and so have not been able to update the site at all.

Even now I’m typing this as fast as I can so the Internet doesn’t disconnect!

Apologies forf that and I hope it’s sorted soon.

FIrstly, County drew 2-2 with Steveange with a spirited performance on Saturday. We fell behind in the second half, but a Greg Tansey penalty and a Matt Paterson header gaver us the lead.

In the last minute we were pegged back, but a spirited and heartening performance nonetheless.

Burton lost at Bury last night to keep COunty well in the race to stay up, and with some good news last night, we defeated Crewe Alexandra in the Cheshire Cup Final on penalties, with Jordan Rose netting the winning spot-kick to give us the trophy.

Also this week, season tickets are now on sale and up for renewal at FROZEN PRICES, so get in there quick. As of today, around 80 have been sold after being on sale for only a day.

Ad finally, Hatters fans have been given the chance to vote for which home shirt you would like next season. Log on to County’s official site to vote. The first shirt is a blue and white striped shirt, with the second shirt being plain white with black shorts, harking back to our first ever kit in our early days as Stockport County.

Again, apologies for the lack of updates and I’m really hoping it gets sorted soon.

Come on County!

Glad your now back……I believe we can still stay up given the Burton had two players sent off last night and Northampton appear to be in poor form it will go to the last day of the season and if it does and it’s in our own hands that a win will keep us up then we will stay up:)

Hope your connection gets fixed. Need my County updates on this site. Looking at the table, one thing strikes me between the eyes – Northampton, Burton, Barnet are all awful sides. Really really poor outfits and right now I believe we are a better side – still pretty poor but not as bad as them. Despite that we will go down and it is the dilly-dallying appointing a successor to Simpson that has cost us. Really shocking leadership from our board. Thanks and all that to 2015 for saving the club but ultimately they do not look like they have what it takes to at least steady the ship. Just hope Alti can stay up and I can look forward to a full drinking session in some of the Belgian ales selling bars next season before and after our great local derby. 🙁

Welcome back, you’ve been missed and I concur what edgeley says, we will stay up. KC I don’t think we will be playing Alti next season not because they’re going down, we won’t be. By the way is your handle from an album by Steely Dan?

Think 49 points may just see you safe this season, a couple of points too much for us.. How many points have we lost in the last 10mins this season?? Oh well next season onwards and upwards, cant get any lower. Next 2 away games are as tough as they come, 4 points needed from them to even think about staying up!!

Personally I think 2 draws in next two games then three wins will keep us safe, it’s a big ask but we can do it.

Its not over til the fat lady sings! and at least we have started to put up a fight and i agree with edgeley it could all come down to the last game of the season, but at home with EP in full voice like on sat when we went 2 -1 up we can do it!!
