County are looking to build on the previous two massive victories against Bury and Oxford with a win against Macclesfield on Saturday.

County suffered a horrific loss on Boxing Day of 2005, when County took a huge following to Macclesfield only to lost 6-0, in which turned out to be Chris Turners last game in charge.

County have major doubts of Matty Hamshaw, Mickael Wolski and Paul Willis after they all picked up injuries in the week.

Aidan Collins and Jason Taylor (Taylor on loan from Oldham, Collins from Ipswich) could both make their debuts.

Mark Bailey and Clyde Wijnhard are both definitely out for Macclesfield, whilst Andrew Teague is doubtful.

County boss Jim Gannon is confident that his team will gain revenge of Macclesfield for the 6-0 defeat and said “It’s a big game anyway and it’s a big three points and there should be a good atmosphere and plenty of adrenaline. Hopefully some of the lads will want revenge.

“That was a real low point for the club but we’ve proved that we’re better than that and we’re going into the game with a lot more confidence than we took into that game.”

Saturday?s referee is Mark Halsey. Halsey is a well known Premiership referee and has refereed some of the biggest clubs in England this season such as Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool. Halsey has give out 40 yellow cards and 6 red cards in 29 games this season.

Hamshaw injured? Good! Get Wardy starting, he’s got pace and strength. He’ll cause Macc’s defence problems – I haven’t been this excited for a match in ages!
