Jim Gannon has called tomorrow night’s friendly with Woodley Sports off due to a lack of fit players.

Rob Clare and Michael Raynes were stretchered off in the first half of the game on Saturday with Torquay to add to the already long list of injuries.

Keith Briggs, Michael Rose, James Tunnicliffe and Michael Bowler are all unlikely to play any part again this season.

To add to that Damien Allen is also on a season long loan in Belgium and no recall clause is built into the contract.

The game was mainly for Jim Gannon to try out a few players, and for Woodley’s players to try and show their talents off in front of Jim.

County played a pre-season friendly at Woodley last summer, which ended 1-1, and it is now likely that County will play another friendly this summer.

Shame really, I was hoping to go and see a few of the players that we are going to have to call on now we’ve picked up all the injuries we have! It would have also given a chance for players like James Spencer and Michael Malcolm to show their worth and get themselves included again for the last few games of the season.
