Dickov Confirmed As Oldham Boss

Paul Dickov has finally been officially confirmed as Oldham Athletic manager after weeks of speculation over the role at Boundary Park.

The directors at Oldham had said last week that they had to wait for their man to get back from his holiday before confirming his as manager, hence the delay in Dickov’s announcement which was made today in a press conference.

Dickov will be registered as player-manager with the Latics next season in his first managing role.

Dickov saw off competition from Frankie Bunn, Martin Gray, Csaba Llazlo and, allegedly, Jim Gannon.

Here’s hoping our man didn’t get the Latics job for a reason!
