There is a distinct chill in the air around Stockport this week, and it not entirely down to the northerly wind. The aftermath of Saturdays defeat at Mansfield and the bare fact that County occupy one of the two ‘R’ spots has left many a Hatters fan downhearted. What is Turner going to do about it? What if we get an injury crisis at Edgeley Park, is the squad big enough? Just how cold will it be on Tuesday night against Bristol Rovers? And are County going to march on into the third round of the FA Cup?

Don’t worry though, Mr Turner says that PMT will see us through.

Positive Mental Thinking.

Turner and Colin West are on record as having had ‘a clear the air meeting’ with the players. Turner has described it as the clubs ‘biggest game in years’ and says ‘Colin and I have had a very good meeting with the players this week. We’ve been very, very frustrated with the inconsistency this season….. we all had an open chat, it was an excellent discussion. All Colin and I are asking for is a bit more hard work, graft and passion. The players know they can do it, but its all about having a positive attitude.’

There ya go. Ladies and gentlemen, I predict Hereford 1 County 2 and County march on into the third round for a cash bonanza fixture against some or other big time Charlies at EP! Doesn’t that feel better? I for one believe County are very much the underdogs against Hereford and it will be the perfect time to turn things around and bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Most people now expect Hereford to turn us over. Their players will already be viewing it as another league scalp… and that is why we will win.

There – said it, and I will resign from my post a temporary editor of this new organ if I am proved wrong.

Boxing Day, Macc away. Details are County have the whole of the Silkmen Terrrace (I think that’s the uncovered one behind the goal – 1500 capacity) and 400 seats in the MacAlpine Stand. County have also been promised another 600 seats if demand is there.

Seating is £17 (£12 concessions) whilst the terrace is £13 (£8 concessions).

Shouldn’t they leave some room for any Macc fans though?

Tickets are not on sale yet
