Oh my oh my! I can’t wait for this one to come around! Last time around some might remember County beating Wrexham by 1-0 thanks to a stunning own goal by Cameroon Keeper Mayebi who has been called up to the International squad this week so unfortunately will not be able to face The Hatters this time around.

County who look to extend their run of games to five unbeaten will be facing in form side Wrexham who have been brushing all teams aside over the last month as the Welsh side look to make their way back to The Football League.

Wrexham are competing with County on the number of games they have gone unbeaten but The Hatters are unfortunately loosing by around six games. Wrexham have enjoyed a good start to the season and are currently 11 games unbeaten compared to County’s respectable four. Wrexham sit third in the Blue Square premier league after they have managed 26 points from their 13 games, averaging two points per game. Wrexham have scored on average 1.5 goals per game but their home form has been where The Welsh side can be most proud where they have scored 14 gaols but have only managed 6 goals on the road. Wrexham have only conceded 8 goals so far this season, four at home and four away from The Racecourse, meaning The Welsh have only conceded 0.4 goals in every game they have played.

TEAM NEWS

After a bug went around the camp for Saturdays game, with Andy Halls being played at right back even through he was suffering from sickness seems to have now cleared up. Alex Kenyon has seemed to recover from the illness too.

James Tunnicliffe twisted his ankle during the first half in the Hereford game and hasn’t trained this week, but is confident of being fine for tonight. Joe Connor should be ready for Saturday’s game against Kidderminster, and Danny O’Donnell is targetting a returning next week.

Vital team Selection:

King
Halls Fagbola Tunnicliffe Eckersley, Newton
Turnbull Mainwaring Sheridan
Hattersley Hobson Collins

Subs: Nolan, Ormson, Meaney, Kenyon, Rowe

Vital prediction:

Do you know what!! Im going for a County win! Since people slated my optimism I feel that I will put my neck on the line. 1-0 County with a bracing finish from Hattersley, I just want to sing his name one more time!

JIMS PLAN

County boss Jim Gannon said: ‘They will be super confident; not just from what they achieved last year but also I think they’re 10 or 11 games without defeat. Best defensive record in the league, they’ve got goalscoring options up front. They’ve perhaps lost a couple of goalscoring options with the loss of Bishop and the odd injury, but they’ll be confident here.

‘It’s a nice pitch, a nice evening and they’ll have a good support. Whatever gaps opened up between them and teams that played on Tuesday they’ll want to close.

‘I think most important for us is that we’ve had two great draws then followed that with two great wins, and we just want to keep our own momentum going.’

MATCH DAY COVERAGE

If you can’t make todays game then you will be able to watch the game on Premier Sports as County have the cameras at EP tonight following the game against The Welsh counterparts. As per usual County will have their game coverage live on Pure 107.8FM, this can be accessed through County Player or if you are in The Borough through the actual radio itself.

Animo et Fide

Will you be putting money on The Hatters tonight? – I WILL! £1 is enough though! haha

A quid on a County win? Yup, that is a much as I would wager. Going to be a tough one but we can do this! Under the lights, should be a good atmosphere. As the editor mentioned, PURE 107.8 FM for commentary but for exiles see here
