From Ibiza To Woodley

County play their first pre-season friendly on English soil tomorrow night, when we visit Woodley Sports.

The team arrived back in England over the weekend and are expected to put a good side out for tomorrow’s night game.

The Ibiza tour ended in madness, when the 3rd/4th place play off was abandoned after the linesmen was allegedly assaulted. County were 3-0 up though at half-time, with two goals from Tesfaye Bramble and one from Liam Dickinson.

The other game County played was against Scunthorpe. We lost 1-0, and guess who scored. Jim Goodwin, as always another ex-County man nets against us.

So its the first ‘proper’ pre-season friendly, and it will give Jim Gannon a good chance to try out some trialists – and we definitely need some to come good and sign for us!

Only three summer signings have been made, and there are no real wingers in the team. Rumours suggest we are after a right winger from Newcastle United, while Adam Griffin is still uncertain of his future at Oldham Athletic.

So get yourself down to Woodley Sports ground tomorrow night, check out how the lads have done over the summer and see Tony Dinning in action as skipper of Stockport County! Kick-off is at 7:30pm and you can get in by paying on the gate.

Way too hot for a run around with Woodley tomorrow. Still, a couple of nice pubs to visit in the vicinity to catch up with some of the Hatters failthful.

Need a few more signed up players still though!
