Nobody wanted anybody else after he had kept us up, and today Jim Gannon has once again gave the fans what they wished for.

Jim Gannon has agreed a one-year rolling contract, that will be review after three years.

Speaking to stockportcounty.com Gannon said: ?We?ve agreed in principle the terms of the contract and all the little details.

?It?s now a question of drafting it up and running it by the League Managers Association to ensure everything is in order.

?We can then sign it, seal it, put it away and then get on with the work required to bring success to the club.?

County?s Acting Chairman Norman Beverley added: ?Stockport County, under the ownership of the Supporters Trust, have firm plans in place to take the club forward and we see Jim as an integral part of that process.

?Fans can expect to see significant changes and improvements over the coming months, which will enable us to build on the momentum created following the appointment of Jim, and Peter Ward, his assistant, back in January.?

?With Jim and Peter on board, and with a professional and strategic plan in place, we believe we can deliver the success our amazing, and incredibly loyal supporters, fully deserve.?
