Jim Gannon has published his programme notes from his spell as manager at County from Valentine’s Day of 2009 when County hosted Millwall at Edgeley Park.

The match-day programme from the 2-2 draw was noticeable in it’s absence of Jimbo’s weekly programme notes, and it was later revealed that the notes had been removed from the programme by the powers-that-be at the club (The Trust.)

But Gannon, in his own personal website, has finally published those notes dated Saturday 14th February ’09.

Due to copyright, I can’t publish them on here, but the notes can be viewed on Gannon’s website.

The notes are very interesting, showing that Gannon realises everything is far from rosy at the club, and also showing his love for the club talking about his children growing up as County fans etcetera.

You can view them by clicking the link below. By the way, the advertisers in the programme that day were MG Domestics – the company owned by The Gibbons. The Gibbons who are now members of the 2015 Consortium trying to buy the club. Make of it what you will, it’s not for me to speculate OBVIOUSLY

I think it’s the worst-kept secret that he’s coming back tbh. Although I am hearing stuff that he has a decision to make between us and Crewe…come home Jimbo!

Hmm, interesting notes. Rumour at Don Valley the other night was that he wanted to come to the Millers!

He’s pretty sough-after, I’ve heard the Rotherham one as well as Brizzle City and Crewe…He’s apparently (by ‘apparently’ I mean he actually IS but I just don’t want to end up with egg on my face if there’s a tiny chance he doesn’t end up back here!) involved in the new consortium who’ve agreed a deal to buy the club.

With all due respect to Rotherham and Crewe, I think it will take an absolute plum of an opportunity to not go back home to County.
He’s coming home, he’s coming…. Jimbos coming home! (and hopefully on a package which does not cripple the club)

  • Kid Charlemagne says:

Not heard the Brizzle rumour. That is a club that could go places with the right man in charge. Got me worrying again Jabo….

  • Jabo's_Left_Foot says:

Nah, no need to worry…he is coming home.

  • Kid Charlemagne says:

    *deep breathing* calm again now.
