Hull City have today announced that Matt Duke underwent an operation recently to remove a testicular tumour.

In a statement released by Hull City they said

‘You will all have noticed Matt Duke’s absence from the squad for the past two games.

On Saturday 5th January Matt underwent surgery to remove a testicular tumour that he had recently discovered.

He has since been recovering at home and is awaiting test results this week.

I know you will join me in wishing Matt a full recovery and speedy return to action for the Tigers.

Duke played just three times for County in a loan spell, but has since been well remembered by the County fans and has been a long term target for Stockport County.

We would like to wish Matt all the best on his road to recovery.

Always thought he was a cracking keeper and that we should continue to go for him, would still be a good coup now for number one.

Good luck to MD but I don’t think we should keep chasing him now if we can’t get him after, what, a good few years. Stick with Logan and aim for a reasonable target that we can actually sign. Too good for L2 IMO. Get well soon though Matt.
