County cross swords with foes from the past as Ian Bogie’s men travel to Workington.

I am glad this fixture has come around quickly after Saturdays very disappointing result.

Many County fans lay the blame for the 1-4 reverse firmly at Ian Bogie’s team set up and tactics.

I am fine with that. All managers drop clangers. Just a shame it was in front of 3,000+ fans. What an amazing gate.

So it is way too early to think of a post Bogie County – I still believe he will get it right and I expect a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 County to take the field at Borough Park.

3-5-2 can wait until we have players who can play to that system.

So, Workington. Many older County fans will have memories of playing, who dropped out of the league in 1977 to be replaced by Wimbledon.

Official site here and if you are driving enter CA14 2DT in your sat nav. I know of a few going by train (good luck) and of course the Finger Flyer is running a coach to Cumbria.

The ‘reds’ lost 2-1 at Telford on Saturday, no disgrace in that as Telford should be near the top come May, and I am going to predict a narrow 1-0 victory for County as we begin our move up the Skrill North table.

This IS the season where we bottom out and our journey back to the Football League begins.

Come on County!
