Halstead and German Leave County

With Jims budget needing to be cut two players have left County this week.

Blackpool have re-called on loan covering goalkeeper Mark Halstead, Halstead made several appearances for The Hatters after an injury to Matt Glennon in November.

I am sure most County fans will remember the keeper as a failure following the goal he let in against Southport which went under his legs, also when he abused the travelling COUnty fans away at Grimsby at the stat of December.

Antonio German is another player to leave the club, German started the season well and was included in the Team of The Week several times, but of late his confidence has often been low and the real German has not been seen.

German will leave County after his contract runs out on the 2nd January 2012. In German’s time at County he scored 3 goals in 16 appearances. He will probably be most remembered for missing seven clear goal scoring chances against Fleetwood towards the start of the season.

Stockport have said made their thanks know to these players and have wished then every success in the future.

Neither player really set the world on fire since they were here. It’s more money saved, but the big question on everyones lips is will money be available for new recruits next week???? IMO I don’t think that Jim will have much to spend it will all be down to loans again. Not the best policy in my book. But hey it’s New Year very soon and perhaps miracles do happen…
