So, Skrill North away day number three is upon us as County travel to the CNG stadium to face Harrogate Town.

Stick HG2 7SA in your sat navs or if you haven’t got one of those then leave the A1(M) at Junction 47 and take the A59 towards Knaresborough. Then take the A658 towards Bradford/Harrogate. At the second roundabout turn right onto the A661 towards Harrogate. You will pass a Sainsburys and then after the lights with the Woodlands pub on one corner, then the entrance to the ground is a just a bit further down on the right.

Some say playing at Edgeley Park in front of 2500+ is too much for some of our players and that having played in front of a couple of hundred against the Dog and Duck the atmosphere at home is just too much.

I don’t subscribe to that point of view although the barracking of some of the side (Ormson for example) helps no one.

Cut it out please.

Support those wearing the blue and white (or whatever colours we turn up in on our travels) for the 90 minutes and leave any negativity until after the final whistle.

So what can we expect from this fixture?

Well ‘Town’ started the season by going to Oxford (City that is) and winning 2-1. They then drew 1-1 with Vauxhall Motors at home in front of 600 odd fans, before thumping North Ferriby United 5 none (attendance 442) but then tasted defeat 1-0 at Barrow.

They lie in 6th position. County lie in…well… let’s not remind ourselves.

Ian Bogie has replaced the now departed Lewis King with 6′ 5′ Ryan Jones from American side Richmond Kickers – will he start tomorrow I wonder? More info on Ryan here and County also welcome Danny Gossett on loan from Oldham for a month. I expect Gossett to feature tomorrow.

My prediction about this game?

County have to improve on recent performances but Harrogate Town will be a difficult proposition. I’ll plump for a better showing and 1-1 draw.

Cone on County – high time you pleasantly surprised us!
