Histon vs County Preview

County travel to Histon for a Saturday 3pm kick off. For those unfamiliar with Histon F.C they play in red and black stripes and hail from the village of Histon on the south of Cambridgeshire. Not too far from Fen country and the birth place of the Chivers food company [insert own joke about jam or jelly here].

Following a 2-2 result against Gloucester City last week that saw a decent enough performance marred a little by defensive lapses, County face a Histon side a couple of points ahead in the table (from one game fewer) but who have not won in the last four Skrill North fixtures ( 3 defeats and 1 draw) .

For those making their own way by road to the Glass World stadium you need to stick CB24 9PH in your Sat Nav but be warned

‘A limited amount of public parking is available at the ground on a first come, first served basis. The charge is £2 for cars and £5 for minibuses.’

Official Histon FC site here and the wikipedia entry for the club can be found here

I reckon County could nick all three points on Saturday and stretch our unbeaten Skrill North run to 5 games.

Jelly and Ice cream come Saturday tea time?

Trust me to open my big gob, oh well back to the drawing board but at least it’s not squeaky bum time just yet. hopefully we can win next week against Telford and maybe end the day with a Chinese takeaway.
