Those Help The Hatters heroes have been at it again. Working selflessly, sprucing up Edgeley Park.

They guys n gals were at it on Saturday, with a cherry picker to paint and clean those out of the way places and are at it again tomorrow (Tuesday 1st July).

Volunteers needed !

Not too long till the season starting and of course not long until Mike Flynn’s testimonial (Friday 18th July – 7:45pm)

Official blurb here

Help The Hatters Ian Brown has this appeal:

—————-

Big….big thanks to the 15 who turned out on Saturday – another magnificent effort by all who made the effort!

Time is fast running out though, and we need to press on, so we need a bigger turn out tomorrow at 18.30 (Tuesday 1st July) to ensure we get the jobs done.

Tomorrows agenda will include some finishing off of Saturdays Hardcastle Rd frontage work……. laying some more blue down in the Dressing room corridor area….. some finishing work on the Danny Bergara stand, and we need a fair number to apply yellow paint to all the aisle ways on the Pop Side.

Ultimately( not tomorrow obviously) we would like to `do’ the Cheadle End as per last pre-season, but with time at a premium…it is up to US whether we actually manage to do it!

As usual start time as stated above 18.30 …report to Railway End entrance.

Please visit Ian’s site (URL above) to see pictures of the progress that has been made smartening the ground up. It really is the only ray of light I can see coming from the club.

Maybe this will change and this will be the week we sign 3 or 4 ‘big names’ that we were promised just a few ‘season-tickets-on-sale-now’ weeks back.

We can but hope.

I have nothing but the utmost admiration for the volunteers, if I lived closer I would be there. Having said that I cant help feeling let down by the club as do many other concerned supporters. With recent events or should I say non events. We were promised a real push on promotion and on the strength of that many us bought season tickets again. I cant help feeling I’ve been let down. We have no new investment, we have a cut in the playing budget. Targeted players have chosen to go elsewhere for better deals. All the best signings have been made already we will no doubt pick up what’s left and at best have a mediocre season. The shares problem remains in limbo with the largest shareholder leaving us all unsure what his intentions are. Absolutely nothing is forthcoming from the club. I love this club but I feel let down. Come on County tell us what the reality is do not con us into believing there is hope of a come back. If our future is to be as a part time club in regional football be straight with us, don’t keep building our hopes up.
