Jacobs not crackers?

It would appear that one of County’s best performers, Kyle Jacobs, is not going to re-sign for 2014-15.

Jacobs if you remember signed from FC United and was regarded as one of the few County players last season to look like they could play at a higher level than Conference North.

So a player many of us had inked into the SCFC squad for next season, has gone.

Jacobs – crackers?

I mean he could have been a regular in the only ‘big’ club in this division, playing homes at the only football league sized ground in this division and roared on by the loudest fans in the division.

Taking off the royal blue spectacles for a moment… what did Jacobs see?

Did he see a team that has lost, in Jevons, our number one goal scorer ?

Did he see that James Walshaw, 32 goals Alti hot-shot, who did not want to move up to the Conference Premier with Alti (due to travel time away from his young family), had stayed in the Conference North, not with County but with Harrogate Town!

Did he see sleeping shareholders showing little or no interest in the club and effectively blocking the flow of new investment?

Did he see a club destined for another season of mid-table mediocrity in the Conference North?

Maybe Jacobs will end up playing Conference National football next season.

Maybe he is not crackers after all…
