Kevan Taylor has been given ?gardening leave? reports the stockport express.

Last night there were rumours on independent message boards, and the back page headlines seems to have confirmed those rumours.

Kevan Taylor was appointed back in 2004 by previous owners Cheshire Sports, and faced a difficult decision in his first month as MD as Sammy McIlroy was sacked by the club.

Taylor kept his job in a change of ownership and was made CEO of Stockport County.

Chris Turner was then appointed and the club was relegated from League One and went straight to the bottom of League Two until Turner was sacked on 27th December.

Jim Gannon was appointed, and you all know what happened next.

An announcement is expected from the club in the near future.

Well, well, well. I do not know whether Mr Taylor did a good, bad or indifferent job but I wish him well. Looks like the Trust is reclaiming OUR club though bit by bit. We just need our ground back….

Why do they call it Gardening leave anyway?

Because he’s not allowed to work for anyone else, so it’s presumed you’ll be at home doing the gardening.
