Sean McConville is ready to take a deal with County after turning down Accrington’s latest contract offer.
McConville, 22, was subject to a bid from The Hatters yesterday which Accrington labelled ‘derisory.’
But they did admit that the midfielder, who had a trial at SCFC under Jim Gannon, was out of contract at Stanley.
“We have had a bid but we have rejected it. It was derisory, miles short of our valuation. But Sean is out of contract so we`ll have to see what happens.”
And we are now told that McConville is prepared to sign on a contract doubling his wage at Edgeley Park, and new manager Didi Hamann is hopeful of revealing the player tomorrow (Friday.)
