McNeil leaves County

Matty McNeil has confirmed that he has departed from Stockport County after re-signing for just one month.

It surprised fans that he came back to Edgeley Park after leaving at the end of last season and going on trials at other local Football League teams.

However after settling back in and doing well, it is even more surprising to see him leave.

It is likely that McNeil was on a rolling contract, and he has been released to free up room for the five signings.
