Melrose Deal STILL Not Complete (ARGH!)

The briefest of statements has been released by the Football League on the subject of the Melrose Consortium take-over deal, and it’s STILL a no.

We understand a meeting is scheduled for Tuesday to try and solve these ‘outstanding’ issues, and this is what the FL say on the matter. Don’t blink…

‘At its meeting yesterday the Board of The Football League received an update on Stockport County’s administration.’

‘The Board raised a number of further queries about the proposed takeover of the club and these will be discussed in due course with the administrator and the proposed purchasers.’

So once again, we wait in hope.

Feel free to find the nearest wall and repeatedly bang your head against it. I’ve taken a bit of stick recently for being ‘too negative’, but to be fair to Melrose and his consortium, they’ve only had, erm…a year.
