Michael Rose has left Stockport County and joined Oli Johnson at Norwich City on a 6 month loan deal to take him till the end of the season.

Michael made 123 appearances for Stockport County and became a fan favourite with his consistantly good performances at left back, aswell as his ability to take free kicks which saw him notch up 9 goals in that time.

He was part of the Wembley winning side, and the side that played in the record breaking 9 game unbeaten run without conceding a goal.

It now leaves Paul Turnbull as the only player from the starting eleven to still be at Stockport County, less than two years after the play-off final at Wembley.

Rose had picked up a hernia and was due to have an operation but continued to play and delayed the opportunity, it does seem strange that Norwich should take him on a loan whilst he is injured.

The left back that has come in is Mat Sadler, on loan from Watford, he hasn’t had the best of times at Watford since joining from Birmingham for £750,000 in 2008. He will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Southampton.

The second player is a striker from Plymouth, George Donnelly. He joined Plymouth after picking up a good reputation in non-league Football but has hardly featured for Plymouth since signing. He was dispatched to Luton on loan and failed to make an impression in the four games he played.
