Director Tony Evans is asking fans which striker they would prefer the club to sign, if there was a choice.
The players in question are two well-known names to County fans – Jamie Vardy of Halifax, and George Donnelly of Fleetwood Town.
Evans seems keen to gauge the general view, and so we thought we’d help out with a new poll on Vital Stockport asking the same question.

Elding signed for Grimsby on 25th July and Dickinson has indeed joined Southend. Vardy I think is ‘big time’ and I don’t want him here, yes I’d have Donnelly back but truly believe we are missing a trick in not bringing back Paterson!
As for Elding I still hope we could wrap up a deal for him. He’s waiting for us to sign him you can tell after agreeing terms with Plymouth then rejecting because it wasn’t right, his heart is with the club, I would take him any day if the goals come thick and fast over Donnelly or Vardy who may just be using us as a stepping stone, if that.

Agree with you Kremb that Mr Evans probably wanting to feel the fans are involved given the immediate history re board and fans relationship.
I do think we have to move away from the Elding, Dickinson debate ties as we are in a different situation now.
Looking forward to going to Wrexham as our last visit there was during the nine game run when we won 1-0 with a last minute winner from Dicko, what a great win that was given the banter through the game with the Welsh fans, anyone remember that game?? …I remember smiling all the way home it was such a sweet win
Wow, what a great debate this was on purely a hypothetical question. @Kremb, just to answer you earlier question about Donelly – I just think he used County as a shop window for anyone to sign him (not just County). Anyway, one things for sure, it’s looking like I don’t need to take my boots down to Forest Green : )

Was looking forward to someone with iowecounty County on their shirt a week on Friday! Will be in the Canaries on hols so praying I can find a bar with the game on. Ironically I go in the Plough in Heaton Moor a lot and they are showing the bloody game live in there and all in fact all County live games. We need a directory of pubs showing County on tele to be put up to give the opportunity of us all coming together … even in City infested areas. Come on County (fans near and far – stick together and cheer the lads on) !
