So, eight years on from the dreadful relegation party at Norwich under the Pinhead Palmer era, we return to Carrow Road once again in disarray as a club.

There was congas and Mexican waves and a 2-0 defeat to confirm our relegation to the old Division Two (League One) in 2002 as The Canaries confirmed their place in the play-offs with the last-day win…and it was awful. A reminder of how bad we were, and I’ve got to say Monday promises to be no different…in my opinion.

David Perkins picked up a knock and was forced off just past the half-hour mark in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with mid-table Walsall, and he is a doubt for the Norwich match in which the Canaries can take one more giant step towards winning the League One title.

Gary Ablett has no more injury worries, but contrary to earlier reports, is unable to offer any of the four trialists from last week – Goffin Boyoko, Cedric Ngakam, Adam Vickers and Matt Brown – a contract or the chance to play at Carrow Road.

More team news and a match preview later.

Oh joy.

Erm…come on County.
