The last week has certainly been an eventful one for Stockport County.

First an awful night against Lincoln City at Edgeley Park, with Lincoln taking three points home with a 3-1 win. County were booed off the park and people (including myself) were asking for Gannon to leave.

A week full of debate followed, and I think I can safely say that NOBODY predicted the result on Saturday as County ran riot – beating Wycombe 6-0 at Edgeley Park.

So the poll last week was simple ‘Do you think Jim Gannon should be sacked?’ was the question.

The results were

No: 60%
Yes: 40%

So there we are then, the opinion at the moment is definitely split it seems. 6 out of 10 of you think that he should stay, with the other 4 thinking he should go.

Its definitely close, but I think a win at Macclesfield would definitely swing the support back towards Gannon.

And that leaves us with the new poll, ‘Where do you think County will finish this season?’ You can vote on the right hand side of the site, with all votes earning you member points.

If you have an opinion that you want to be aired on Vital Football then don’t hesitate to e-mail in, you can get my e-mail address by clicking on the profile at the top of the page. ALL VIEWS WILL BE PUBLISHED.

One Reply to “Poll: Gannon to Stay?”

  • On balance I vote JG to stay. Once the injuries clear up we will then see what he can do. No great expectations this season. Another finish just outside the play-offs will do me. Needs to sort out the issues between him and one or two others though. Its JG’s way or its Mercian way!
