I thought Phil handled the game well. The goal was obviously offside in the first half and he communicated well through his hi-tech stuff with the linesmen. The game flowed, OK he was a bit picky at times but there were no real howlers in the game. 8/10.

meh what an awful referee never let the game flow always blowin up when super matty mcneil was jumpin and why didnt he send that guy off when dicko got fouled. it was a straight red, it was like brambles at macclesfield in the 6-0 defeat. the only good point was when he dissalowed ther goal for offside. 5/10 phillip.

I AGREE WITH STOCKPORTJACK MORE THAN ANYTHING PHIL HAD A GOOD GAME AND LET IT FLOW. ID LIKE TO SEE MORE TOP QUALITY REFS AT LOWER LEAGUE FOOTBALL INNIT! 7/10

6/10. If you could do a ‘Rag the Linesman’ it’d be two, I thought linesmen were there to give a fair decision, so why did the plonker yesterday just copy everything Dowd did? Phil looked alright though, a bit fussy with some of the barging and stuff, but that’s League Two for you, and he should be able to adapt. Still, much better standard than normal refs in L2.
