County youngster Danny Rowe has joined Northwich Victoria on an initial month’s loan as he seeks first-team football after falling down the pecking order at Edgeley Park.

Rowe, younger brother of current Peterborough United winger and former County favourite Tommy Rowe, made a handful of early-season appearances and made impact with an assist to set up George Donnelly for our opener on the first day of the season at Southend.

But the 18-year-old hasn’t made a first-team start since Preston in the Carling Cup this season and a 5-0 defeat, and he’s now joined Conference side Northwich for an initial month.

Still plenty of time on the lads side. Talk used to be about how he was the hotter prospect rather than Tommy. Hope he returns a bit stronger and with confidence intact. Where the heck is young Pilks by the way – another one who was rumoured to be better than his older bro?

Great that these young lads go out on loan to another local team. I do hope that they come BACK stronger. Or is it a case of making way for Simmo to bring in another player. If this is the case then I hope that he is experienced, what I have seen of the players that he has brought in on loan, are really no better than the ones he has let go. What is the point in all this if their is no improvement?

Ra-Ra the only person who thought that Danny Pilks was better than his brother was himself as for Tommy Rowe I personally never rated him, I use to hear Jim Gannon going on about Tommy Rowe but couldn’t see it myself and to be fair he hasn’t done that well at the Posh. This game is all about opinions and that’s mine…I never rated Elding his first touch was garbage and a huge percentage of his goals for us came from penalties but such is our plight at the moment I would have them both back if we could, that’s not praise just a sign of how far we have fallen

Sad to say but you are right Edgeley. I do not now think we will see Danny Rowe next season. We have fallen almost to the bottom and Simpson seems to be to be trying to replace almost the first team squad over the course of a quarter of a season. Bloody great result if we can come back with a point at Bury. Still, win or lose… I’m on the booze. It’s the only thing getting me out to watch County these days.
