Sam Sheridan today has joined up with Southport on a one month loan deal, this is to gain first team football.

Sheridan has been a popular man since the return of Jim but after his mistake against Braintree on Saturday Jim has shipped Sam out on loan for the midfielder to gain experience.

The arrival of Matt Mainwaring and Paul Turnbull also mean that County would have too many central midfielders and it would be good experience for Sam to be sent on loan to a club pushing for promotion.

Good luck to Sam in his time at Southport.

  • it is all about money at this stage. Jim has sent him out to gain games under his belt. We have to many midfielders at the moment but Jim doesn’t want to let him go for the future. Lets hope he comes back a better and stronger player ready for next seasons campaign.
