Smith Turns Down County

Jamie Smith and his agent have asked County to ‘come back with a better offer’ after they have turned down County’s latest offer.

Perhaps Smith still thinks he is at Liverpool, but I think that could be the end of him at County now.

Liverpool released Smith last season after Smith had a successful loan spell with County.

Benitez had told Smith to look for a new club and after trials at Bury, where he was told to hoof the ball and walked away from training, and other League Two clubs, he decided to sign for County.

In his first season he played at Wembley and won promotion, yet he still wants more.

It is dissapointing as Smith had become the number one right back and had beat off competition from Shaleum Logan when it looked like Smith was going down hill.

But Smith turned himself back around, and even played centre back at Peterborough.

It was all capped off with the great team performance at Wembley, and you would have thought Smith would have wanted to be part of it.

If Smith and his agent do change their mind then we will let you know, but with Johnny Mullins signing from Mansfield, it could be the end of Smith at County.

Another youngster being led by the greed of his agent. Maybe when he can’t find a club you can go back with a lower offer!
