As we earlier speculated, the Blue Square Premier game between Stockport County and Southport will indeed take place on Saturday 1st December.
This is subject to league approval but there is no reason as to why they wouldn’t approve this with both sides free to play on the Saturday.
Southport had been trying to get a home game on the Friday night, with Lincoln through to the next round of the FA Cup, as the Friday night game was televised – but this can’t be arranged as County have already visited Southport this season.
It’s good news that County now have a Saturday league fixture at home this side of Christmas!

More chance of a better attendance as I’m sure the Southport guys will bring a good few across the marshes. We don’t have a home game then till boxing day against Hyde? should be another good turnout for that one as well.
What an excellent switch, common sense prevails.
Works for me! Hey vicman… you still on for a game in 2013?
Damn right, be down the A9, M73, M74, M6 faster than West Coast Trains, (mind you that’s not hard), awaiting confirmation from MA as to when he’s crossing the water, keep my seat warm buddy cannot wait to get amongst the old clan again.
Look forward to it mate. Hope to meet up with Mazarron Albert too and what the heck, let’s have a Vital Stockport meet up! All welcome!
were up for that
Bring it on guys, is the Armoury big enough cropped?
Armoury can get a little tight but leave it with me. Any more for any more?
