Stockport County v Forest Green Rovers has survived the weather and will take place this afternoon.

There was light snow in Stockport yesterday, with no more than 2 or 3 cm sticking on the ground in central Stockport.

Groundsman Liam Cash did a fantastic job of managing to get the covers on yesterday which has ensured the game goes ahead.

I know I have been vocal this week in the disgraceful decision to sack Jim Gannon but get behind the players today and support them. They have done nothing wrong and are playing for Stockport County.

However make your feelings known to Lord Snape and Spencer Fearn about the job they are doing.

Come on County!

  • Well done County and Alan Lord. Life after Jim begins. The gate, though down was still pretty decent considering the weather.

  • How refreshing not to have a manager (Gannon) barking orders to his players throughout the game like …which blade of grass to place the ball on when taking a free kick and letting the goalkeeper actually decide which side to take a goal kick from….well done Lordy and for me I am sooooo glad Gannon has gone.
