Ya-aaaaaaawn! Cannot get much enthusiasm for this tie. I do trust much reduced admission prices will be the order of the day.

This week-end must give us an idea how we will fare against the Southport boys. Not sure which I prefer, three points for the win on Saturday or a win on the 15th to progress in the trophy and bring in valuable coffers to the football club. If anyone is wondering re my preferences, a win at both games would be nice but as this is a season of consolidation I would happily settle for a draw on Saturday and a win on the 15th.

Saw it in a dream, 3-1 on Saturday then a point at Woking. Not sure about the 15th, we were 2-0 up then the alarm clock went off!!!

Well the first part of the dream was right, we scored 3. What wasnt part of the dream was that we would be handing out 4 early Christmas Pressies. Something must be sorted in defence. We cant keep shipping goals most of which are careless defensive errors. At what point are our wide midfielders going to get the message that they have a defensive roll in tandem with the fullbacks, then perhaps our central defenders will not be drawn out wide. I also feel that had King not gone off injured he wouldnt of got caught out like Ormson was. Ormson could turn out to be a good keeper but he clearly needs some decent specific goalkeeper coaching.

Well, I didn’t even listen on Pure to this. A bit surprised we shipped 4. Looking at the table this league is very compact this season. We can still start the new year in the top half and all things considered that is not bad. Hope our finances are improving, Jim may need to look down the back of the sofa to get hold of a couple of experienced defensive players.
