Sun, Beer & Football. Its what a few County fans are more than likely to be enjoying this week as it`s the San An Cup, and we`ve been invited.

Stockport County have jetted off to Ibiza, with a few fans aswell as they are taking part in the San An Cup along with Scunthorpe United, Carlisle United and a team from Ibiza.

Hopefully the players won`t be taking in too much beer as we don`t want them harming their pre-season routines, but the fans are most probably already drunk!

However, there is a serious side to the tournament and County boss Jim Gannon has taken two trialists that he is looking at along with the rest of the squad as they prepare for the new season.

Carl Coleman, a 17 year old goalkeeper from Irish Crumlin United (seriously, who are they?!) and Martyn Woolford, a pacy left winger from Frickley (who?) have both joined the squad.

Michael Rose, Tony Dinning and Gareth Owen have also joined up with their new team-mates.

  • Hmmm… hope all the players come back in shape and not on the treatment table. We really do need 2 or 3 more bodies at least.

  • Sun Beer and Football. Lets hope none of our big players (Super Tes) come back with injuries. It is the last thing we need.
