Reports are suggesting that Ryan Crowther and Greg Tansey have joined Liverpool for £400,000.

Though nothing is confirmed yet, both of the youngsters DID go on trail to Anfield and both went and took part in a tournament in Italy with the Liverpool youth team.

Greg Tansey made five appearances in the Stockport County team last season, two of them in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and the other three in the league. He impressed when he was brought into the team at the end of the season against MKDonalds, and he also scored a wonder goal in the Youth Alliance Cup Final against Colchester United.

Ryan Crowther is a pacy right winger and has made just two appearances for County. In the 05/06 season he came off the bench against Cheltenham, and then in the home defeat against Shrewsbury in September he was handed his first start – but went off injured and that ruined his chances of securing a first team place.

Nothing is 100% confirmed officially yet, but we will bring you news when we get it.

I can see where you are coming from Tom but IF £400K is confirmed then the club and Jimbo can do an awful lot with that EVEN after a cut has been given to Kennedy/Elwood/whoever.
