Third Consortium In The Race?

Administrators Leonard Curtis say they are expecting ‘two more bids’ today as well as the one already on the table from Jim Melrose.

Melrose and his men went to the Football League yesterday, and the group say they are ‘confident’ of a deal going through, though if all three parties ended up getting Football League clearance, it would go to the administrators to have the final say.

Paul Reeves, the joint-administrator, believes that ‘two more bids from different parties are imminent’, and that more news will be available this afternoon/tomorrow morning.

Obviously one of the groups is the ‘2015 Group’ consisting of The Gibbons, two local business-people and County fans, Sean Connelly our ex-CEO from Ireland, and they were brought together by Protest March Organiser Dave Schofield.

No word yet on who the other consortium may be.

The Football League monthly meeting takes place tomorrow, thought it isn’t clear yet whether either of the interested parties will get their bid in on time to get down to the FL tomorrow.
