Steve Davies brings us his end of season awards!

Goal of the season – Scott Spencer`s 2nd vs Lowestoft (away), it was hard to choose between that and the Chester goal he scored in the FA Cup but I think the Lowestoft goal was pure class. Although Chris Churchmans gets an honourable mention from Harrogate at home.

Game of the season – When we played Stalybridge at home and won 4-3, after loosing the away match 3-2 and seeing them celebrate like they had won the euro lottery it was only fitting that in the return match we scored the winner in added time.

The score went 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-3 and then 4-3 to us, I`ve not been to a game like that in a good few years and really enjoyed it.

Moment of the season – Hearing a new signing had been arrested, remanded and later jailed on drug dealing charges before he could even make his debut, you couldn`t make it up could you?

Biblical moment of the season – A downpour like I have never seen in my life when we played Hyde away in the game that never happened. It lasted about 10 minutes but the amount could have saved a small third world country from a drought.

Most improved player – Tunji Moses, not that he needed to improve but it`s like watching a different player this season. Always really solid in midfield and deserves a few goals in my eyes.

Young player of the season – It was between a few but I wanted to give it to Wes Benjamin, from the games I`ve seen in the Cheshire Cup and watching him break into the first team I feel he`s got a bright future ahead of him.

Player of the season – No doubt in my mind – I would have to say Danny Hurst, sometimes he seems far too good to play for us and has really been superb this season saving our skin more than I care to remember.

I hope he finishes his career with us. If you watch the highlights against Hyde away (the 2nd game) he made some saves that seemed physically impossible, he`s worth his weight in gold.
