Ashley Williams has surprisingly been voted the League Two PFA fans player of the month for March.

Williams has been in magnficent form for County this season, no denying that, but in February County conceded 0 goals, in March County conceded 16 goals in March – which makes the decision strange.

Ash has won the award along with Dimitar Berbatov from Spurs for the Premiership, David Nugent from Preston for the Championship and Joshua Gowling from Bournemouth for League One.

Williams will go into the draw for Fans’ Player of the Year 2007 as he won one of the monthly awards, and I suppose he has got as much chance as anybody else to win it!

Well done Ash!

  • Yes. Well done Ash. Lets forget March. Into April, all guns blazing up front, keeping it tight at the back and into the play-offs we go!
