Wrexham FC are ‘very confident’ of securing their place in the Blue Square Bet Premier for this coming season amid fears that the Welsh club would not be able to fulfil their fixtures this year.

Conference officials released a statement earlier this weekend stating that, by Monday the 5th of August, Wrexham must:

1. Deposit a bond or bank guarantee of £250,000 into the competitions accounts.

2. Proof of payment to all outstanding football creditors, including staff and players wages.

3. Lodge a signed lease, acceptable to the Football Conference, as to where the club intends to play its home fixtures for season 2011/12.

4. Submit a detailed business plan and revised budget for the coming season.

Failure to meet these criteria would result in expulsion from the division – and it would leave County in a 23-team league, with a few extra Saturday fixtures wiped out.

However, officials at the Racecourse Ground say they have already met three of the four ultimatums, and that the fourth will be met before Monday.

Good luck to everyone involved in securing Wrexham FC’s future, both in this division and as a football club.
