County entertain bottom of the table Hereford at Edgeley Park tomorrow and willbe hoping to move away from the bottom three.

The Hatters have the opportunity to move eight points clear of Hereford if they can build upon their first home win against Barnet two weeks ago.

Vital Quotes:

Jordan Rose: “We’re very confident, I’ve got no doubt in my mind that we’re a top 10 team.”

“Maybe we haven’t picked up as many points as we should have this season and we’ve had a lot of draws, but the atmosphere around the training ground is very good.”

“You’ve got to be patient and wait for your chance and when you get it, you’ve got to take it, that’s what football is all about.”

“I’d like to say I’m more of a ball-playing centre half but that depends on who you ask I suppose!”

“I like to play football, it’s the way I’ve been taught to play. I’m definitely ready for a run in the team if I get the chance.”

County boss Paul Simpson: “I expect to put out my strongest possible team against Hereford, and I just hope they show the desire and intensity we need.”

“The caretaker there has done a great job so far. It must be difficult juggling being both the physio and the manager, but what I’m hoping for this weekend is that we don’t do him any favours at all.”

“If he is in charge for Saturday or a new manager comes in we have to make sure it’s a horrible day for them.”

“I would love to be three-nil up at halftime and make sure they aren’t able to comeback as they did at Northampton!” (Hereford were 3-0 down and came back to win 4-3 last weekend..)

County Team News:

County will be without defender Danny Swailes, who may have damaged his cruciate ligaments and could be missing for some time.

Jordan Rose could deputise for Swailes, while on-loan striker Wes Fletcher has recovered from a calf injury.

Player to watch: Jake Simpson

Simpson has been in fine form on the right-wing and has put in great performances when called upon.

Only this week did Simpson sign a new contract at the club keeping him at Edgeley Park until at least the end of the season.

Hereford Team News:

Hereford striker Guillermo Bauza has been suffering with a groin injury and could again miss out.

Goalkeeper Dan Connor (hip) is the only other absentee as United look to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

Player to watch: Mathieu Manset

Manset will be dangerous at Edgeley Park, he has scored two in two for the Bulls.
