Stockport County will be followed by another large travelling contigent, hoping to top 2000 tomorrow in the Manchester derby against Bury.

County were beaten 2-0 at Bury last year, but won 1-0 the season before.

Gigg Lane has been known to not take the rain too well recently, but after a win against Norwich in the FA Cup on Tuesday Bury will be doing all they can to get the game on and push the pressure onwards.

Bury are without a manager after sacking Chris Casper at the beginning of the week, but did beat Championship Norwich 2-1 in the FA Cup replay on Tuesday night at Gigg Lane.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Bishop (Bury Striker) talking to the Evening News: ‘All that matters is that we get back to winning ways in the league.

‘I’m not even thinking about the next round of the FA Cup. We have to start winning games.

‘The Cup success was for Chris Casper, I owe him a lot. He’s done a lot of work with me and I have nothing but total respect for him.’

Jim Gannon: ‘Bury seized upon Norwich being below par and it was a really spirited, motivated performance, a great credit to Chris and all the players for putting in that kind of effort,’ he added.

‘Perhaps they took a bit of responsibility for what had gone on rather than just blaming the manager.’

‘They’ll be buoyed by that win over Norwich. The one thing that jumped out was the tremendous atmosphere against Norwich.

‘It was as if prior to that game the town had gone dead, but on Tuesday it turned out and was in great voice. With our fans going there and that with that kind of atmosphere I think it will be a cracking game.’

Bury Team News:

Former County target Simon Yeo is available after being ineligible to take part in the FA Cup game on Tuesday night.

But caretaker manager Chris Brass should stick with the side that beat Norwich 2-1.
